A hall console table is a long, shallow table made to stand against a corridor or entrance wall, where depth is scarce and length is not. It gives you a surface for lamps, a tray, flowers or keys without narrowing the walking route. This one is solid teak, hand-carved by master Indian artisans and gilded, with a white marble top.

The apron is pierced right through in a run of scrolls and flowers, so the wall colour shows behind the carving and the table does not read as a solid block along the corridor. A carved pendant drop below the centre marks the middle of the piece and stops a long apron from looking uniform.

Every table is made to order and fully customisable. Length, depth, height and marble colour are yours to specify, and custom sizes are made to order with exact dimensions confirmed in writing before production begins.

The solid teak frame and joinery carry a 20-year warranty and lifetime cover against termite damage. Delivery is free anywhere in India, in multi-layer protective packaging with guaranteed dent-free arrival.

The pendant drop under the centre of this apron is the one part of the table that hangs. Everything else is held at both ends; the drop is held at one. That makes the direction of the grain in it the whole question.

Our master Indian artisans cut the drop from the same block as the apron above it, never as a separate piece glued on, and they set the block out so the grain runs vertically down through the drop rather than across it. Timber is many times stronger along its grain than across it - a drop carved with the grain running sideways would be a short-grained shape waiting to snap at its neck. Running the grain down its length means the fibres run continuously from the solid apron into the hanging carving, and there is no weak joint anywhere in it.

The carving then works downward, thinning the drop gradually and leaving the neck - where it meets the apron - a little heavier than the eye notices. That extra thickness at the top is invisible in the finished piece and is the reason it survives carving, gilding, packing and a delivery across the country.

Material: solid teak throughout, hand-carved. No veneer, no engineered board.

Top: white marble slab with grey veining, hand-moulded edge profiled to follow the shaped front.

Carving: pierced apron of scrolling foliage and flowers with a carved pendant drop at the centre, carved cabriole legs with scrolled toes, shaped stretcher with a carved fan boss.

Finish: hand-applied gilding over the carved timber, sealed for durability.

Construction: traditional joinery; apron pierced from the solid and the pendant drop carved from the same block as the apron.

Sizes: custom sizes made to order - final measurements confirmed in writing before production.

Made to order: length, depth, height and marble variety are all specified by you.

Warranty: 20 years on the solid teak frame and joinery; lifetime cover against termite damage.

Photography: images show the actual product, not renders.

Two things on this table need particular attention in transit: the pendant drop, which projects downward with nothing below it, and the marble, which is unforgiving at its corners.

The frame is wrapped first in a soft non-abrasive layer that will not lift gilding. Foam is then shaped around the pierced apron and the drop rather than compressed against them, and the drop is given its own protective block so nothing can press on it from beneath. Scrolled toes and leg heads get individual corner protection.

The marble travels flat on a padded board with guards along all four edges, so no impact can reach a corner, and it is packed separately from the frame rather than sitting on it.

Both go into a rigid outer crate with cushioning between and around them, strapped so nothing shifts. This multi-layer protective packaging is why we guarantee dent-free arrival. Please inspect the piece while the delivery team is still with you.

Delivery is free across India. There is no freight charge, no distance surcharge and no price difference between a metro address and a smaller town.

Because every hall console table is made to order, production begins once your dimensions and marble choice are confirmed in writing. We share the build timeline at that point and keep you posted through carving, gilding and marble fitting.

Once complete, the table is packed as described and dispatched with a carrier used to moving carved furniture and stone. You are contacted before delivery so someone can be present to receive and check it.

Arrival is guaranteed dent-free. If any transit damage has occurred, photograph it while the delivery team is present and contact us - we will resolve it. The marble top is set onto the frame at your address rather than travelling assembled, which makes carrying the piece through a doorway or up a stair considerably easier.

The solid teak frame and every joint in it are covered for 20 years from the day the table reaches you. That includes the leg joints, the pierced apron, the stretcher connections and the bed the marble sits on.

Separately, the piece carries lifetime cover against termite damage - for the life of the furniture, not a set number of years. Properly seasoned solid teak carries oils that termites will not attack, and because the table is teak all the way through there is no board core anywhere for them to reach.

Should anything covered arise, send us photographs and we will assess and repair or replace. Warranty work on a carved gilded piece is carried out by artisans working in the original techniques, including re-carving from the solid where a carved element is involved, so a repair matches the surrounding work rather than sitting on top of it. Both warranties apply anywhere in India and travel with the furniture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this product.

Shallow enough to keep the corridor clear and deep enough to hold a lamp - that balance depends on your hall, so we build to the depth you give us. Measure the walking space you want to keep and tell us the number; the design is redrawn to suit it.

Yes. Length is entirely yours to choose, and the apron pattern is set out afresh so the scrolls and the central drop stay correctly spaced at whatever length you order. Custom sizes are made to order with dimensions confirmed in writing first.

Yes. The top shown is white with grey veining, and it can be built in a darker stone, a plainer white or a more strongly veined slab. The moulded edge is cut to follow whichever stone you choose.

No. It is carved from the same block as the apron, with the grain running down through it, so there is no joint at its neck. That is what makes a hanging carving durable rather than fragile.

Marble is a natural stone and benefits from a felt pad or coaster under anything wet or metal, which is normal care for any stone top. Wipe spills when they happen and the surface stays as it arrived.

20 years on the solid teak frame and its joinery, and lifetime cover against termite damage. Both apply anywhere in India.

Yes, anywhere in India. The frame and marble travel in separate multi-layer protective packaging and the table is guaranteed to arrive dent-free.

Yes. Every image is a photograph of furniture our master Indian artisans produced, not a render. Yours is built to the same design in the dimensions you specify.
